Watch Hill Memorial Library and Improvement Society
Located on Everett Avenue, the Memorial Building (1916) is the home of the WHMLIS. It is a public library, a meeting place for the society and classroom space for children's activities.

The Economics of Historic Preservation: The 32nd Annual Rhode Island Statewide Historic Preservation Conference Westerly and Charlestown, Rhode Island-featuring Watch Hill

The event begins at Watch Hill Chapel with a keynote speech by leading historic preservation and real estate consultant Donovan Rypkema. The speech is followed by 11 workshops, 6 walking tours, 3 boat tours, and 6 bus tours of historic places in Westerly and Charlestown, from the Watch Hill Lighthouse to the Ocean House. Presented by the R.I. Historical Preservation & Heritage Commission, the annual conference is a great opportunity to explore the field of historic preservation.
